How do you feel about your current surgical tech or student i-n-c-o-m-e?

Are you making it?

Do you really think you can make a living as a surgical tech?

Well, before you delete this newsletter, please do me (and yourself) a favor and read on in order to understand WHY you need to know about your current & potential surgical tech F.I.N.A.N.C.I.A.L. position!

Listen, if you are struggling with making your rent, paying your student bills, keeping up with your car note, or trying to pay on those credit cards, you are not alone.

Personally, I don't know too many people who aren't feeling the pinch these days with the economy in such a mess.

I can't even begin to tell you how much stress I see in the workplace because of staff cutbacks, layoffs, & reductions.

AND the individuals who ARE fortunate enough to have a j.o.b. are often struggling to make ends meet or constantly griping about not having enough.

I mean, todays economy and all of the cutbacks and low salaries is really stressing people out to a point where they are simply overwhelmed.

And the sad thing is, being so overwhelmed, people often go out and spend MORE just to feel a bit better about being broke.

HOW crazy is that???

I know what you may be thinking, what in the world does this have to do with being a successful surgical tech?

WELL, my friend, let me just fill you in on a little fact or two about your current f.i.n.a.n.c.i.a.l state.

FIRST off, if you are currently working, feel blessed!

There are literally -->M-I-L-L-I-O-N-S<--of people in this country who are unemployed. And I mean people with families, kids, elderly parents, etc.

Secondly, if you are making more than 25--T.H.O.U.S.A.N.D-- a year, you are in the TOP 10% of i.n.c.o.m.e earners in the world.

YES, that's right, only 10% of the people in the WORLD (I said the WORLD) are bringing in 25k or more per year.

That actually breaks down to about TWELVE~bucks per hour.

Now, I know for a fact that with a little work, YOU, as a surgical tech, or future surgical tech can very easily be in the top 10% of the world earners.

It's really not that hard!

LISTEN up, even if you're currently working in the field and simply HATE being a surgical tech because of your current rate, shift, position, whatever, feel blessed that:

a) you are e.m.p.l.o.y.e.d.

b) you are in the top 10% of WORLD e.a.r.n.e.r.s

c) you will always have options with your surgical tech knowledge

Now, I know this particular newsletter is a little "in your face", but it is what it is, AND you just have to be grateful that you're not in a position where you're living naked under a bridge or standing at an intersection with a sign in your hand asking for food, work, or anything else.

Every time I see somebody on the streets, I pray for them, offer them anything I have at the time, and then I really remember to thank God for blessing me with the things I consistently take for granted.

Hey, when was the last time you actually felt blessed for having water to brush your teeth?

Just think about that for a second AND then maybe you'll really be thankful for at least having or preparing to have a job in or around surgery.

Now I don't want to start preaching here but we live in the richest country in the world and we should all be grateful for every little thing God has put in our lives.

If it hasn't blessed us, it has challenged us to rise higher!

Finally, if you're getting in this field and think you're going to make m.i.l.l.i.o.n.s., I hate to bust your bubble....

BUT, if you are looking for a decent i.n.c.o.m.e. with plenty of opportunities to grow, the potential is there as a surgical tech.

It's not the easiest position in the operating room, its not the most glamorous position in surgery, its not the highest paying position in the o.r..,

BUT it is a position that provides a s.a.l.a.r.y. making more than 10% of the people in the WORLD and it is a position that can open up back doors to opportunities with lines at the front door...

Count your blessings every single day and thank God for what he has provided!

Whether its the ability to flush the toilet (which means at least you have one) or the ability to dry your hands on a clean towel, we are ALL blessed in one way or another.

Don't let the pursuit of chasing the BIG-c-a-s-h- keep you from enjoying being in the top 10%.

Don't let anything or anybody keep you from accomplishing everything God has in store for you.
