Surgical Tech Success Handbook©®

As a practicing surgeon dependant on competent surgical techs on a daily basis, I found the book titled, Surgical Tech Success Handbook written by Robert Prince, to be an excellent resource of information for anyone contemplating a career as a surgical tech.

The information in this handbook, although comprehensive, was concise and clear.

It begins with "how to's" to get started in a career as a surgical tech, and proceeds on to developing skills required to carry out the responsibilities of this important profession.

He goes on further to explain how surgical tech training offers options for entry in parallel careers as well.

Mr. Prince deals with a range of issues such as what are the expectations in the operating room environment, to describing the variety of personalities that a future surgical tech may meet in his or her career.

Especially enlightening is the section on "developing a surgical conscience", a necessity to succeed in this important profession.

This handbook is a "MUST READ" for anyone interested in a career as a surgical tech.
