How simple is that~

"Just show up!".......

I know, I know, you are probably wondering what the heck I am talking about.

Well, if you've been a subscriber to my newsletter for any length of time, you know I've talked about finding employment pretty often.

So, that being the case, today I'm going to try not to repeat myself and to ensure this, I'm going to point out and explain to you very quickly about one of the TOP SECRET ways to increase your chances for getting hired.

"Just show up!"

As simple as it sounds or as crazy as it may sound, showing up really is a technique you can utilize to help get your career started, boosted, elevated, or changed.

I've heard it plenty of times over the years from employers, educators, career recruiters, coaches, career counselors, and so on about how often somebody just does not show up.

You know what really amazes me too is that it really is not that uncommon for someone to schedule an interview and just NOT show up.

And you'd probably be surprised how often potential job candidates suddenly decide to take the day off from returning emails or phone calls, or they just stop applying, or sleep in instead of going to that interview, or just not even make the attempt to search for a job, or (believe it or not) there have been cases where an individual will get hired, clear all of the hospital pre-employment requirements, AND THEN JUST NOT SHOW UP...

How insane is that....

Listen, whether you are just getting your career going or you've been working for the past 50 years and want a change.

You have got to do something that many, many, many others will not do and you have got to ---> "Just show up!"

I know it might sound crazy, but it happens more often than people realize.

Not showing up for the actual interview, or not showing up during the hours that human resources is open, or not showing up before the class starts, or not showing up for the first day of your new job, or not showing up to cover a shift, or not showing up for anything else you can probably think of...

I mean now come on, if you're in a position where you need to find your first j.o.b. in the O.R. or you are looking for a change of facility, environment, salary, etc., or whatever it is that actually requires you to show up;

WELL,,,,

"Just show up!"

Believe me, your odds of getting hired or making that career change will INCREASE much more than you realize if you keep the "Just show up - Attitude".
